Capsule Review 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium AWD
Capsule Review: 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium AWD -
This highly optioned 2015 Ford Fusion, a Titanium EcoBoost AWD model loaned to us by Ford Canada for the last week of March, is not perfect.
⢠US Marke t Price As Tested: $ 38,440
⢠Power: 240 @ 5500 rpm
⢠torque: 270 lb -ft @ 3000 rpm
⢠observed fuel economy: 19.3 mpg
But the point view of the dynamics on the road, the Fusion does what few other mid-size sedans on the market can do :. encourage the owner to take the long way home
fusion imperfections are remarkable, however, perhaps to a greater degree because Ford midsize excels in the act of putting his pilot joy. According to my brother Caravan driving, also a father of four, back seat of the Fusion, "is not bad," but lacks the expansiveness of the car midsize most sold, the Toyota Camry. Although I have spent enough time now with MyFordTouch find sensitive enough, the system continues to be just slow. Why did I wait and wait and wait for the climate control options to appear after I start the car? Interior materi al quality is a mix of pleasant (steering wheel and armrests, for example), adequate (upper dashboard and door surfaces) and disappointing (matt black surrounding the button on the center console.) About the performance, this high-flying turbo 2.0 L is simply decent. In a world in which the three best-selling midsize plates continue to buck the trend of no-V6 their slower-selling rivals, four-cylinder rises 37 ponies short (on regular fuel) 3.5L V6 the Toyota Camry. In addition, our special advice all-wheel drive Fusion scales with an extra 201 pounds. (Titanium front-wheel drive mergers are 155 pounds lighter than our car.)

So if the merger is sufficient but not significantly stimulated, where it note on the front of the eco? Our tester was a drinker, with an average of 19.3 mpg in a mix of city and highway over a week. It is EPA-rated at 22 in the city; 31 on the highway. In our hands, the poor mileage was not an anomaly. The last time we tested a Fusion with the same powertrain, in spring 2013, it averaged 18.4 mpg.

Certainly a Mazda 6 is the most agile car, but it lacks 30% of torque to the Merger. And while the Mazda manages an expert level when pushed hard, it is not nearly as serene as the Fusion, which firmly but never lets up rough pavement outsold the world to be made public within the cab.

This is a noble feat in a sterilized transportation age, a time when the endless pursuit of refinement excludes most manifestations of interactivity.
As for optional extras Fusion Titanium, because they do not change the behavior on the road, they had little impact on the way I saw the positive aspects of the car.

Don t judge the merger on the basis of such a sticker on equipped. To date, only 5% of 2015 Mergers in Stock at US dealerships are equipped with four-wheel drive, according to Cars.com . Less than a quarter of these cars are priced above $ 35,000. This car is not a typical Fusion, but at its core, it still shows the best and worst of the Fusion range: good looks, a rigid structure, a large trunk, an EcoBoost engine that lacks ecological, some poor packaging, and, most importantly, a European appetite back frolicking drive.
