The 1980 Audi ur-quattro,the first sports car with permanent all-wheel drive - 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. With road-holding untouchable at the time and rarely equalled since. Since then it has become a much-loved classic, though it is now becoming hard to find spares. The rally quattros rewrote the book - today all World Rally Championship cars are four whell drive - and firmly established Audis slogan: "Vorsprung durch Technik".
